Ohio Cuyahoga River Run

Sunday-Tuesday, July 19-21, 2026
Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Cleveland Area, Ohio

Who doesn't want to come to Ohio in the Summer?

There's nothing better than being on a river in July in Ohio and the Cuyahoga River is where we call home. We'd like to share our home with you! The routes we'll be taking are simple and scenic. No stress. Just enjoyment.

With the help of local outfitters, we've chosen 3 scenic segments of the river and will explore our nearby towns and restaurants.

While you're here, we can help you plan an optional Cleveland visit to check out the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Lake Erie or spend more time in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park system where you can hike or rent a bike/e-bike.

Itinerary

June 19 - Group meet up and dinner

June 20 - Kayak 2 segments of the Cuyahoga River

June 21 - More kayaking and town exploration, hiking or e-biking

Optional day for those interested in visiting Cleveland. Opportunities to visit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, kayak the Cleveland skyline by river or Lake Erie and enjoy The Flats (a neighborhood of eateries and bars) or Great Lakes Brewery and West Side Market.

The Mighty Cuyahoga River

The 100-mile Cuyahoga River flows both south and north before emptying into Lake Erie at Cleveland, Ohio. This is a scant 30 miles west of its headwaters. American Indians called it “Ka-ih-ogh-ha”—crooked. This U-shaped path is due to the river’s geologic history. It runs through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park - the only national park in Ohio.

Additional opportunities are available to hike and bike/e-bike the park.

COST of this trip (kayak rentals and accommodations) is estimated at $650.00. BOOK NOW to indicate your interest pending final price.
